Placing Adsense on your Website

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYA1-TF_6FY

This is a good "easy way" to place Google Adsense on your website.  And... probably text, pics, or anything else on your website.
I only know a little html,  so I love the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz thing  that they teach on the video.  I have previously made a mess by putting things in the wrong place and spending hours correcting it.

Of course you'll need an adsense account.  They have a video on this also or you can search "how do I get a Google Adsense account".  It is my understanding that you can only have one (1) adsense account, so make sure you don't already have one.

I have not downloaded http://www.NextEdit.com yet, but this looks really cool.  It is supposed to be free...  hope it's not a trial version? Note:  I just checked this out... It is not free... only a free demo.  Please check out thoroughly before signing up!!!

If you are scared, may I suggest you open a dummy blog to test some of the things I share on 'the Non-Nerd" http://www.puterneuter.blogspot.com  before you use on an important website or blog.

I sure would appreciate it if you would share this link with your friends and on your social networks as I don't expect to get a google ranking since content is going to cover so many different subjects.  The easy way to do this is to:  copy the url at the top of the page, or copy the following...  http://www.nuterpeuter.blogspot.com   ...and paste on your facebook, twitter, or whatever.  thanks...

THE NON-NERD: Back-Links are hard to get!

THE NON-NERD: Back-Links are hard to get!

This is actually a link to my scissor sharpening youtube videos.

The url is:  http://www.youtube.com/XzactaShears  if you ever want to go there.  This will show only my videos

http://www.youtube.com/user/XzactaShears  is one of my youtube channels.

Back-Links are hard to get!

I'm learning a lot from Affilorama.  I will sign up for the pay course when I get done with the hours of freebies.
Learned something very important about SEO recently.  Back-Links are very important to a websites ranking.  I suppose I've done this accidentally with all my blogs, etc. pointing or linking to http://www.xzactashears.com   Anyhow,  the links need to relevant in some way to have weight with google.  In other words, a link from a "fishing site" might not be a good thing?  That's what the nerds I've been reading are saying.  Don't go to one of those free backlink sites that will submit your site to 3000 sites for indexing.  I did this last week with one of my blogs that was on page 3 and in two days Google had kicked off the map.
In the case of scissor sharpening, it can be difficult to get good quality back links.  I'm the only one I know that puts competitor links on their website.   Local Search directories will give you some safe backlinks.  I found a site  http://www.YEXT.com  that is really good.  Just put in your url and it will give you a read-out of your websites standing in about 30 directories.  I didn't have an extra hundred bucks laying around so I copied this and am submitting myself.  I did 5 today.  It is very time consuming.  But that is 5 quality back-links that I didn't have before.  Many of these are social, so most of my time was spent writing text.  If you have the bucks and no time, I would definitely consider giving Yext some dough.
Yext doesn't mention "Google Places", but this is very good.  And you can post 5 youtube videos on there.  I also did this today.
Another social network worthwhile is Google+   Similar to "Facebook", but some neat features not found on faceboo...   Just found out today that you can video conference up to 10 people at once on Google+ for free.  Forgot what they call, but it's pretty cool.  Has anyone tried it yet?
  Happy SEO,
  ryan
p.s.  I've been led to believe that reciprocal links are not so good with Google either.  Anybody know for sure?

From Patent Pending to Patented

notice how I made the text from normal to large.... do you like it?
This just blows me away...  I don't want you to leave here please, so open a "new window" in Internet Explorer or whomever you are using...  and search....   scissor sharpening machines patents   ....
With Google...  XzactaShears.com comes up number 1....above my very best buddy ole WL.whatever....   I am pretty sure that I have never even used 'scissor sharpening machines patents" as a key phrase in any of my sites or blogs?  Oh well... to bad at least some of you don't have a link to  http://www.xzactashears.com   right now...  it's looking pretty strong with Google, Bing, Yahoo, and the rest.  Oh... here's my new hobbbbbyyyyy....  http://www.learntoplaytheguitarreviews.blogspot.com   I'm doing this for adults that don't really care about scissor sharpening, computers, making a living....  but have always wanted to learn to play the guitar.  Seriously.... this is a legitimate site that I am developing, and actually is a pilot website for some of the things that I present to you.  I don't expect to make any money of this site, but I expect to make a ton by what I learn....   and I hope I can help you do the same.

Getting On Page One of Google, Bing, and Yahoo

for free...
2.  sign-up or sign-in if you have a google account.  Google owns Blogger or Blogspot
3.  If you are an Xzacta Shears Scissor Sharpening Tecnician you have an account as Blogspot is what I use for our private blogs
4.  If you are totally new to building a website or blog.... just jump right in... you can't hurt anything!
5.  The name you choose is tremendously important for your blog.  If you choose a name such as "ComputerRepair"  I can guarantee you it will be taken.  And if it's not,  no one except your friends will ever see your blog because the keywords "computer repair" is incredibly competitive.
6.  What you want to do is choose a name such as, in my case, like  "ComputerRepairOcalaFlorida".  Chances are good that it will be available.
7.  Title your blog the same thing...  "Computer Repair Ocala Florida"
8.  In "meta tags" (you'll find this in your blogger control panel or dashboard),  also put "computer repair Ocala Florida" as your first keyphrase.  Then add other relevant keywords or key phrases.  http://www.traffictravis.com  is a good free site to find relevant keywords or phrases.  By the way when you get around to writing text or posting on this blog incorporate your keywords and keyphrases in your text.  But don't overuse these.... make it look natural.  But don't worry about your text too much right now.
9.  Post a blog with a brief description of who you are with a link to your main website and contact information such as email and phone number.
10. Publish your Blog
11.  As you have time, set up a new blog using "computer repair plus each and every city and counties" in your working area.  In my case, for example, some would be computerrepairBelleviewFlorida.whatever,  computerrepairLadyLakeFlorida.whatever, and so on.
12. That's it to start

What will happen is you will be the big fish in a little pond, and someone will catch you.  And it will make you feel good when you search "computer repair Ocala Florida" and you are number one or at least making a showing on page 1.

Later on, you can develope text and pages on blogger to make your blog look like a paid website.

Anyhow... happy blogging... this is a start!

p.s.  put google "adsense" on your blog as soon as you can.  You have to sign up for an account.  Don't have time to go into this, so search....  "how do I get a Google Adsense Account".  You make a little money anytime someone clicks on one of those ads.  No you won't get rich, but every little bit helps these days.  I'm very close to getting my first check from Google.  Would have been making some money if I had Adsense on all my blogs and websites.  I have just recently started doing this.  Oh well, if you snooze, you lose!

JING

http://www.jing.com

This is a great little "free" tool that I discovered on http://www.affilorama.com.    It's pretty simple to use.  What it does is capture any text, image, or video (up to 5 minutes) from a webpage.  Many times you only want to save a small part of a webpage.  You can do this with Jing.  Then you can save it somewhere on your computer or upload it to http://www.screencast.com  (this is free also) where it can be viewed by others of your choosing.  I haven't had time to use screencast.com much yet, but it seems pretty cool also.  We all know how receiving large pictures via email can cause your email program to slow down or even freeze up.  So screencast may be a quick easy solution.

I put a new folder on my desktop called "JING".  This is where I temporarily put all my captures.  This makes it very easy to find, move, or delete ones I no longer need.

In case you don't know how to create a new folder on your desktop,  1. right click on empty space on your desk top  2.  click on "NEW".  3.  up at the top, click on "FOLDER"  4. and a new folder will appear on the desktop of your computer.  5.  name or re-name "Jing" or whatever.  When I capture something with Jing, I save it to desktop, then drag and drop it to my Jing folder if it's something I want to keep, or if it's something I want to keep permanently,  I'll save it in documents, my pictures, or my videos, etc.

Anyhow...happy Jinging!!!http://www.jing.com
